Hayley Turner

Hayley “The Hailstorm” Turner is a professional mixed martial artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor with experience in Wrestling, Striking, Muay Thai, MMA, and Self Defense. She started her martial arts journey in 2015 at Ann Arbor Mixed Martial Arts before joining Scorpion Fighting System in 2016. In March 2017, Hayley was awarded a blue belt from Kristian Woodmansee after winning her third and last amateur MMA fight.

In May 2016, Hayley met James Gray and Amanda “ABC” Cooper at Scorpion Fighting System in Brighton, MI. She joined the gym and began training 25-30 hours per week and took her first amateur MMA fight in September 2016 at bantamweight (135 lbs). She then moved on to compete twice more as an amateur, earning all 3 wins by first or second-round referee stoppage.

In September 2017, she signed a contract to make her professional MMA debut against longtime Michigan MMA and Bellator Veteran Chrissie Daniels, who had 6 sanctioned professional fights under her belt in November 2017. Turner defeated Daniels by first-round TKO with 2 seconds left in the round, moving her professional record to 1-0.

Turner then faced Jessica “The Black Widow” Borga in April 2018, where she accepted her first-ever career loss by first-round TKO. After an intense wrestling and striking camp, Turner took on Knoxville native Taylor Turner for CLIP in November 2018 and won via second-round armbar submission. The fight against T. Turner was the first professional female MMA fight in history held at the Motor City Casino in Detroit, MI. Both fighters accepted the fight on a one-week notice. Now, Hayley coaches Women’s Self Defense, MMA, and Women’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes weekly at Staley Martial Arts.
